After using marble-sized hail to chill my Irish whiskeyI learned that hail is nothing but falling cloud boogers.  As I tipped my glass I noticed the butt of this bug poking out of the ice.  Turns out that hail actually forms around dust and debri and even the unlucky bug.  Of course he did get an afterlife steeped in booze.
